Health Tip of the Day

What to do if the Spit Test shows positive?

First, talk this over with your  Naturopath, Wellness Coach or Health care provider, as soon as possible.

Be aware that a Candida Yeast problem can be pretty difficult to deal with, especially after it has had enough time to get established and be causing you problems.

It may not be easy, and it may take a while to impact the situation, be patient, and work on it everyday.

I recommend that you avoid all mucuos forming foods and start taking Mediterranean Oregano Oil. Make sure it is truly organic and free of all chemicals and pesticides.

You must avoid ALL Sugars as well. Like honey, syprups, white sugar even all fruits for a period of time til you overcome this challenge.

Include some bitter vegetables in your diet which stimulates the Liver for better detoxification.

Coffee Enemas are also great to incorporate daily for about two weeks and drink plenty of good pH 7.8 and higher water. This will move you along much quicker to wholeness, wellness and a yeast free body. You may call my Holistic Ministry at 973-748-0090 for a scheduled appointment for a Wellness Inventory.

Do You Have A Yeast Infection? Take this simple Spit Test!

Might I have a problem with  Candida Yeast?

You can do this simple test to find out.

First thing in the morning, before you put ANYTHING in your mouth, fill a clear glass with room temperature Bottled Water.

Work up a bit of saliva, then spit it into the glass of water. Check the water every 15 minutes or so for up to one hour.

If you have a potential problem, you will see strings (like legs) traveling down into the water from the saliva floating on the top, or "cloudy" saliva will sink to the bottom of the glass, or cloudy specks will seem to be suspended in the water.

If there are no strings and the saliva is still floating after at least one hour, you probably have Candida- I'll tell you how to kill it next.

Dr. Shammah Womack-El’s Healing Soup

This delicious soup is packed with ingredients shown in clinical studies to relieve joint pain, prevent cancer, heart disease, reduce blood sugar and prevent memory loss.

Ingredients:

1 onion                                     1½ tsp. ground turmeric

2 carrots                                               1 Tbsp. grated gingerroot

2 celery sticks                                       ⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper

3 medium-sized potatoes                      ½ tsp. curry powder

4 medium-sized tomatoes                      4 strands of saffron

14-oz. jar of chickpeas             1 bay leaf

5 cups vegetable stock              1 Tbsp. fresh-squeezed lemon juice

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preparation:

  1. Dice celery, onion and potatoes.  Peel and dice carrots.  Dice tomatoes and remove seeds.
  2. Pour 1½ cups of the veggie stock into a large saucepan.  Add onions and simmer for a few minutes.
  3. While onions are simmering, begin with the spices.   Mix the cinnamon, curry, turmeric, cayenne and ginger.  Add 2 Tbsp. of the vegetable stock.  Mix well.
  4. Add this mix to the onions and stock already being heated.
  5. Add the rest of your veggie stock to the onion and stock mix and let the soup return to boil.  Stir, then cover and heat.
  6. After 5 minutes, add the potatoes, tomatoes, celery and carrots and allow it to simmer in the covered saucepan for 20 -30 minutes or until carrots and celery are tender.
  7. Pour in the chickpeas, black pepper, saffron and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Heat thoroughly before serving.
  8. Enjoy!

Enzymes are destroyed when food is heated above 118 degrees. Enzymes are the catalysts of every chemical reaction in our bodies. Without them, there can be no cellular division, immune system functioning, energy production nor brain activity. No vitamins or hormones can do their work without enzymes. There are two different types of enzymes in our bodies, metabolic enzymes and digestive enzymes. We produce over 100,000 different enzymes, each doing a unique task.I highly recommend everyone start taking my Special Enzymatic Formulas-Superzymes 2/3x's daily and Agape Formula #1.

I Want to share one my classics. All classes do this Cucumber Salad this week. Get your body ready for the Spring. Wednesday everybody (ALL Classes) No Food Just Water). Resume back Thursday to the recipes below.

Bishop Womack-El's Cucumber Salad

Mix the following in a bowl:

1 ½ cup chopped cucumber1 cup of corn

1 cup of diced fresh tomato

1 cup of yellow or red bell peppers

1 cup of celery

Then add

1 tsp. turbinado dissolved in

2 tbs. lemon juice

2tbs. olive oil

½ tsp. sea salt

½ tsp. dried Italian seasonings

2 tbs. fresh basil or cilantro

Mix everything together. You will definitely enjoy the life in this recipe.

Bishop's Bananna Coconut Smoothie

You'll need:
2 large or three small bananas (no yellow ones! nice and ripe & spotted)
-one "young" or green coconut
-a blender & glass!

What to do:
1) crack open the coconut (find a good method that works for you- I haven't found mine yet! I just cut like heaven till I finally get a hole in the top..)
2) empty all the liquid right from the coconut into the blender
3) add the bananas
4) liquify
5) YUM =)

PS- This is a great way to use up bananas that maybe ripened all at once and are getting soft...

Bishop's Broccoli Raw Living Soup

This is a delicious raw soup. Please make sure you have soaked the Almonds the night before making the soup.

3 cups water
1 cup almonds
1 teaspoon honey
2 cups broccoli
1 avocado
1/2 to 1 clove garlic or onion
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon onion
1 teaspoon Celtic Salt
1/8 teaspoon Cumin
1/8 teaspoon red pepper

1. In a blender or Vita-Mix blend water, almonds and honey until smooth.
2. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend until creamy.

Note: Add more Celtic Salt or Braggs Amino Acid
if this tastes bland.

Healthy Raw Celery Slaw

Ingredients

1 large bunch of celery
2 red bell peppers
3 or 4 tomatoes
4 oz fresh walnuts

Instructions

1. Grate the celery and peppers and place in bowl.

2. Blend the tomatoes and walnuts and use as dressing

3. You can also use a little Celtic Salt or Bragg's Amino Acid if you desire

Raw Apple Breakfast Cereal

1 apple of your choice grated
1 banana chopped
small handful coconut shredded
1/4 cup soaked almonds chopped
1/4 cup sunflower sprouts
splash of almond milk or coconut water
1 tsp raw honey
dash of
cinnamon or nutmeg (I even like pumpkin pie spice) Mix in a large bowl. This is also a great snack during the day.

Oatmeal in the Raw for breakfast

1/2 Cup raw whole oats *, soaked overnight in pure or ionized water to cover.
1/4 Cup raw almonds, soaked overnight in pure or ionized water to cover.

3 figs or 3 pitted dates, soaked in 1/2 cup pure or ionized water overnight.

1/2 banana dash of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of Agave

Drain and discard water from oats and almonds after you arise in the moring. Rinse  the raw almonds. Put the raw oats, almonds, fruit and fruit soak water in blender and blend until fairly smooth. Add banana and cinnamon and blend quickly. Serves 1. Eat immediately don't save because it can go rancid. This is an excellent breakfast for pure fiber.

note:. This is a delicious and hearty recipe, but unless you are sure the oats are truly raw - don’t indulge in it too often. You can do this with other whole raw grains such as Barley, Kamut or Spelt.

My Energizing Smoothie

This is my favorite energizing smoothie. It is delicious!
1 Tablespoon of Ultra Greens or Agape Formula #1
1/2 Cup Filtered Water
1/4 of a Whole Pineapple, peeled and cut into pieces
10 Strawberries
1 Mango, peeled and cut into pieces
1 Banana
3 Ice Cubes

Process in a blender until creamy.

Carrot Lemonade

4-5 medium carrots
1/2 medium lemon
1 mildly tart apple (fujis or galas are nice)
1 small 1.5 - 2 " wedge red cabbage
1 round of ginger, about the size of a quarter

Juice all, preferably organic, ingredients and enjoy! Yummy carrots without the overwhelming sweetness and what a
beautiful color! Makes one large or 2 small servings.

PREVAIL WITH KALE

1 large bunch Kale finely chopped
2 carrots shredded
pint of grape tomatoes
1/2 cup soaked pinenuts
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes soaked and chopped into bitty pieces
1 red onion cut into thin rings
raw black olives
Juice of one lemon
1/4 cup cold pressed olive oil
sea salt
few dashes of Bragg's liquid aminos
Mix all ingredients...set in fridge overnight. Enjoy the next day!!!

SWEET BEET

1-2 beets, shredded
3 Carrots, shredded
1/2 a head of red cabbage or 1/4 if it is big, shredded
1 tablespoon or more Lemon Juice
2 teaspoons Ume Plum Vinegar
1 Tablespoon
caraway seeds
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Mix all ingredients together.

You can also add chopped scallions, red onion, Apple Cider Vinegar, or green apple.
Everyone who tastes this likes it usually raw food eaters or not.

MY FAST ALMOND MILK ONE

1 cup sprouted Almonde

3 cups water
1 t raw honey
Blend all together in blender until smooth. Strain through a fine strainer and chill.

MY FAST ALMOND MILK TWO

1 c. almond, which have been soaked overnight
2 qt. water, ionized or purified
1 tsp. vanilla or a combination of vanilla and almond flavoring
1/2 tsp.
sea salt or celtic
2 Tbl maple syrup

Put almonds and 1 qt water into a blender and blend at hight speed until very smooth and creamy.

Pour into a nut milk bag to strain.

Add remaining quart of water, flavorings,
salt and maple syrup and stir well.

Chill and serve.

This will separate when in the refrigerator, so stir before using.

This is a delicious nutmilk, easy to make, nutritious, and satisfying.

For variation in flavor and nutrition, use pecans, brazil nuts, or hazel nuts, combining some sesame or Sunflower seeds if desired.

Raw Almond-Veggie Pate

The recipe is incredibly easy–just toss all ingredients into a food processor and blend to a spreadable consistency–and it provides excellent protein through the soaked raw nuts and seeds (and soaking also renders them more digestible than dry raw versions).  You can also play around with the veggies in this pate to suit your own taste.  I like to include something juicy to help thin out the consistency, but if you prefer to omit the tomato, just add a little water or extra lemon juice to the mix. You can also use some Braggs Amino Acid as well.

1 cup raw natural almonds, soaked in water for 6-10 hours and drained

1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds, soaked in water 4-6 hours and drained

1 medium carrot, peeled and cut in chunks

1/2 cup broccoli, coarsely chopped

1/2 red pepper, cut in chunks

1/2 ripe tomato, cut in chunks

1 large clove garlic, sliced

1/2 cup (or more, to taste) fresh cilantro (use the leaves and thin part of stems)

2 Tbsp. white or mild miso paste

juice of 1/2-1 lemon (to taste)

Celtic Salt and red pepper to taste

Everyone in Class A: take 3 Cleaner Tuners at bedtime only with water. Class B: take 75 drops of Trace Minieral Drops 3x's Daily, Class C: take 80 drops of Trace Mineral Drops-2x's Daily, ClassD take 20 Green Magic tablets/2x's daily. Every do those Enemas-you'll feel better. Drink lots of water, like your a fish.

Don't forget everybody to drink your KOMBUCHA. It's  miracle food for the body and soul,
and it's been used around the
world for hundreds of years to
help restore balance and vitality.

OOOH the coconut smoothie is a recipe I will definitely enjoy. I am glad I'm not the only one that "cuts like heaven" to open up a coconut! LOL

Bishop, I am so happy because there has been much food temptation in just the 1 1/2 days I have been in Maine and I haven't given it any attention. I'm aware of it but it's not a big deal. I am doing well and it's not a struggle either. I cut out the 10 affirmations and put them in my wallet - with the paper that I wrote the number 37 on - remember that? Anyway...all is well. Thank God for change - I see the new habits that are being formed and shaped in my life. It is a pure joy and I am so grateful to God and you for the teaching, training in the areas of health and discipline. I am a KNOWER that little does make much.

Dear Bishop, thank you for the recipes. I'll start keeping some of the ingredients at home until I have enough to make some of the drinks and meals.

Thank you for the notation on slowing down. I have learned to take one day at a time, because if it didn't happen yesterday and today (now) is here and the same thing that happened yesterday is happening today could be a disappointment after today is over and I see sunlight through the blinds on today again, I thank God that I am still alive even though the same thing is happening to me that happened the day before. Actually, so much is being thrown at you by so many people, that we are happy we made it through to see another today. and the beat goes on. Either we made it through to see another day here on earth (spirit and flesh) or forever in our eternal estate (Spirit). YESTERDAY'S GONE, SWEET JESUS AND TOMORROW MAY NEVER BE MINE, BUT LORD FOR MY SAKE, TEACH ME TO TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME!

Bless you, Bishop and thank you!

Why are we in such a hurry?
“Get it over with NOW” is the mind set, I must take time to listen and be still. That is not something we are taught in school or in most homes. As you talked about with love we do not want to be exposed, insecure and vulnerable to something we can not "control." I am learning that the universe knows and has perfect timing if only I can just wait (and I will) everything works out much better than when I (flesh) tries to do it. The God in me salutes the God in you Bishop. Thank you.

We don't allow tomorrow the freedom to have its own say. What a provocative thought. Maybe it is because we haven't fully tapped into the fact that we are eternal. God always was, is and will be and the same goes for us...even if the form changes. Eternity isn't looking for an ending or predictability it just is. We must only BE in relating to ourselves and to others. Your Grace, you have given me more to contemplate - as usual.
Why do we reduce the beauty of relating to relationship?
written by Bishop Womack-El, February 16, 2010
Why are we in such a hurry? Because to relate is insecure, and relationship is a security. Relationship has a certainty; relating is just a meeting of two strangers, maybe just an overnight stay and in the morning we say goodbye. Who knows what is going to happen tomorrow? And we are so afraid that we want to make it certain, we want to make it predictable. We would like tomorrow to be according to our ideas; we don't allow it freedom to have its own say. So we immediately reduce every verb to a noun.Wow, this my friend is dangerous. Just like God is not a noun but, a verb. What are your thoughts?

Love should simply be my being. Love is my being. Let love move me through the process of meditation. Let - I must permit love to be in me.
Bishop Womack-El, February 12, 2010
Everybody has their own idea of love. And only when you come to the state where all ideas about love have disappeared, where love is no more an idea but simply your being, then only will you know its freedom. Then love is God. Then love is the ultimate truth. Let your love move through the process of meditation. Watch it: watch the cunning ways of your mind, watch your power-politics. And nothing else except continuous watching and observing is going to help.

written by Dorothy Lane, February 10, 2010
Bishop thank you for the Fasting Tip Of the Day! I can somewhat testify about individuals who have a lot of fat storage-can fast easily. As a student when I researched Austria Aboriginal people. During seasons of famine women didn't starve because of their body type. They lived off of something that the Anthropologist called (THEIR FAMINE RESERVES) This was in reference to the fat deposits stored in their behinds!!!!! Glut's. Many of the males had difficulty during seasons of Famine.

So true, God is not changed by our fasting. Many fasters are not changed by fasting because the focus is incorrect. Thank you for not just saying we are going on a fast for x number of days and then never saying another word until the last day. You have taken time to take the total being to another level exposing truths that help me better see me. confronting self is a job and it works better while fasting. Thank you Bishop. (Great class last night)

Bishop, as you've said countless times, "The key to correction is confrontation." Admitting to oneself that he or she needs change sets that soul on the path to self-awareness and self-improvement. GOD changes not, nor does He need change; it is we, spirit-beings in these imperfect earthen vessels, who need the correction. Again, thank you for the fast, so I can get my own house (body) in order!

Bishop, this is so true, fasting AND sleep are extremely important. I think it is important to get good rest and I'm sure it's even more important, during difficult times of a fast. I am noticing the difference between sleeping and having restful sleep. I am also observing that I have to make myself go to sleep. I have more energy so I can stay up longer but I still have to get up very early some days.

Off the subject: I just want to say that I began to practice doing certain projects or tasks within the timeframes for my personality. I accomplished so much. I really didn't think this would be the case. But it worked. I even color coordinated my closets!

It is all connected. The spirit, mind and body. This fast, if you really adhere to it, shows you just how balanced or out of balance you are in every area of life. It's best to be connected in harmony - sometimes when we are out of balance we say there is a disconnect...it seems to me that maybe we are still connected but the connection (to whatever or whomever) is that of disharmony. Almost like a relationship of any kind. You can be in relationship but in a state of disharmony. Thank God we can make the choice to move in the direction of harmony.

Bishop I love the effect of quietness, and i believe less talking promotes more hearing. Thank you for your "If anyone has an ear let him hear" blessings once again. Doris Renshaw

Bishop, I didn't do to well with the phone break! I can't believe it. I am very surprised. When I saw the tip I thought it would be a cinch. I don't hang out on the phone all day every day but Sunday evenings are my "phone time" to catch up with family and some friends. I turned my ringer completly off on Saturday when coming from the bowling event and that was no problem. I didn't even hear or look at messages until I was headed for church on Sunday. Someone called and I thought they needed something for church and we briefly spoke. Then when I got to church I went to turn off my phone again and I had another call from a person who doesn't normally call. I thought I would just check their message and do you know I began to check my messages IN CHURCH!! I never do that. Complete no no! I was so shocked. Then I turned off my phone and did not pick it up for the rest of the day and night! It was just surprising to me that that would even be an issue. It was just interesting to me that it would even be an issue. I had no problem turning off television.

I know you told us that fasting would bring up issues like being cranky, impatient, irritated, etc. You even told us how to overcome grumpiness. But I never thought phone usage would ever be an issue - not even in a small way!! This was very intersting. Anyway...just sharing.

I whole heartedly agree Bishop. Sometimes we immerse ourselves in noice and activity to escape our own demons. Like you've said before, the thing you avoid comes upon you! You cannot correct until you confront. Continued blessings to you Bishop and Lady Womack-El...

"Meet your inner terror." "Pause your soul." How profoundly put! Yes, Bishop, blessed quietness would be a much welcomed rarity. Thanks, Bishop, for the tip, I plan to put it into effect ASAP.
